One week in Hanoi

I have to say that I hate this city. It's disgusting. Jim is suffering from pollution sickness today, as have many of the babies. The air quality is just awful. It rained day before yesterday and yesterday morning we awoke to see buildings out our hotel window that we didn't know existed. Sewage runs in the streets, folks walk outside their stores to throw their trash in the streets. It's astounding. And the way the power lines look, it's a miracle any of the people here have power. Here's a photo of that.

It is amazing to think about where our children come from and imagine how they live now, compared to how they will live when they come home. Maybe you will get to tour some areas outside the city that will be more appealing. I remember seeing people urinate on the streets in China and being astounded...never mind the trash and other 'stuff' lying around. It makes America that much sweeter! Hope baby Bella is transitioning well and things are working themselves out for all of you. Not too much longer and you'll be home forever!
